The Gallery

Since 1972 the art gallery AGORA 3 has been a point of reference in the Sitges art world.

Located on Calle Nueva on the corner of Paseo de la Ribera, in front of La Fragata beach and a few metres from the emblematic square where the majestic parish church (La Punta de Sitges) stands, in the 1970s the AGORA 3 gallery began a programme of exhibitions by Sitges-based artists such as Emili Grau-Sala (a painter from the School of Paris), Ángeles Santos (a pioneering Catalan surrealist painter whose works form part of the permanent collection of the Reina Sofia Museum of Contemporary Art in Madrid) and Pere Pruna (a pioneering Catalan surrealist painter whose works form part of the permanent collection of the Reina Sofia Museum of Contemporary Art in Madrid), Ángeles Santos (a pioneering painter of Catalan surrealism whose works form part of the permanent collection of the Reina Sofía Museum of Contemporary Art in Madrid), as well as Pere Pruna, an artist who was also part of the Parisian avant-garde.

The work of paying tribute to important painters on the Catalan art scene (Alfred Figueras, Josep Lluís Florit, Alfred Sisquella, among others) has gone hand in hand with the work of promoting contemporary artists such as Subirachs, Royo, T. Llàcer, R. Vilanova, M. D. Rubió, etc.
